Perfect we are not and never will be. Kochin does however set out to deliver the highest standard of professional NLP training we can. Rightly we promote ethics in NLP training and strive to walk our talk. Like most human beings, we generally get it right, yet on occasions get caught up in the pursuit of intent, only to find we have corrupted our own morel compass. Fortunately one of the many things NLP teaches us that there is "no such thing as failure, only feedback", an NLP pre-supposition for which I am extremely grateful.
We are committed to enabling people to set, achieve and exceed their personal expectations. People, community and business orientated we deliver high impact, high quality training in a friendly and personal style. Our community orientated business model and ethical values enable us to deliver training that makes a lasting difference. We are NOT into the quick-fix, grab your money and give you a certificate for attending. At Kochin we share with you the insights, skills, understanding and competencies (discovered by the co-creators of NLP / and others) to enable you to enhance your life in whatever way is right for you. We don't do NLP to you,,, we facilitate your discovery of the "field" of NLP (in addition to relevantly related disciplines) and support you to ethically utilise the subsequently knowledge to be the best you can be, and or to support others to be the best they can be (and there is always more).
Our lively courses are enhanced by an entertaining cocktail of people from a wide range of backgrounds with Kochin offering subsidised places to those currently less fortunate, or working in employment sectors where affordability is not an option. Our intentionally diverse blend of participants bring, share and experience an exquisite mix of beliefs, values, perceptions, aspirations and competencies that enriches, if not "transforms lives". And that is at the heart of NLP and coaching. The study of and quest for excellence in order to enhance and transform lives.

Richard was trained as an NLP Trainer by John Seymour (Internationally renowned UK NLP Trainer). His original practitioner training was accredited by the Society of NLP (SNLP) which was established, and remains managed by Dr Richard Bandler, co-founder of NLP. All three SNLP certificates have been personally signed by Dr Richard Bandler.
Richard Pearce is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, (CIPD) where he holds formal accreditation as a trainer.
As a "trainer member" of the Association of NLP (ANLP), successful Kochin participants are able to apply to the ANLP for practitioner registration. Like Kochin, participants will be required to pay annual membership fees, and subscribe to the ANLP code of conduct. Additional information can be found here.
Experience:
Richard works with private sector organisations, including entrepreneurs seeking to optimise their potential, develop a real vision for the organisation, and overcome potentially limiting beliefs regarding the sustainable viability and consequential growth of the organisation.
He has over 19 years experience in supporting and developing disadvantaged people and communities over 19 years. In recent years this has developed into a strategic role involving the design and delivery of interventions to address worklessness within the West Midlands.
His work included influencing employment policy on a local and national level through working with partners such as Birmingham City Council, Birmingham and Solihull Learning Skills Council, JobCentre Plus, and many others.
In recent years Richard has invested considerable time and energy developing Kochin as a focal point for the delivery of high quality, yet affordable NLP training and coaching of people. Kochin is a somewhat unusual business model in that it seeks to balance profitability with affordability for those less fiscally advantaged in these financially challenging times.
Kochin has an established NLP practice group for qualified practitioners in addition to an "NLP Study Group" for experienced Master Practitioners with a commitment to collaboratively work towards mastery. Richard promotes commitment to professional supervision and continued professional development.
Perhaps my greatest and personally rewarding area is that of helping individuals to overcome perceived personal and or professional barriers. For many, these can be intensely debilitating, and for me, seeing people change and develop a forward vision and passion for life that they felt they might never see again (or have never experienced) is intensely rewarding.
Kochin utilises its commercial income stream to subsidise both training places and personal coaching for those "currently" lacking in financial resources. The proactive blending of cultures and life experiences adds enormous value to the learning experience and in so doing enriches the ultimate outcome from the training for all participants.
Professionalism:
My work is conducted within the professional guidelines relevant to my professional memberships, organisational contracts, and appertaining legislation. My NLP training is designed to meet, and in most cases exceed the minimum standards laid down by the Association of NLP of which Kochin is a registered NLP training member. Confidentiality is defined within the context of the above, and agreed between all parties prior to commencement of work.
I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development. I receive regular professional coaching supervision as a means of ensuring I develop and deliver a professional service to all my customers.
Kochin utilises skills and competencies from a wide range of disciplines and experts within various fields. We consider our work to be eclectic in nature and is always orientated towards facilitating the realisation of the outcomes held by the individual / organisation we work with. The future:
Kochin is committed towards successful implementation of a medium / long-term business plan that develops a portfolio of high quality personal development services to a wide range of people and organisations through a network of equally committed professionals that put the customer first. Kochin intends to remain at the cutting edge of knowledge / skill acquisition and its integration into course delivery. Our current five year business plan is on target to ensure Kochin is recognised as being a centre for excellence for NLP.
Kochin is currently in the process of restructuring business model to accommodate the diverse private, public and third sector requirements. This will include our web interface and customer support with www.birmingham-nlp-training.co.uk acting as a dedicated NLP training portal supported by www.nlptoolkit.co.uk providing an ongoing learner resource access point and student / public forums. Kochin is and will remain the central brand with an increasing emphasis on growth towards becoming a centre for excellence.

Mark Thompson has had a career in Sales and Managerial positions within the Leisure Industry. It was his desire to improve his own managerial skills and the performance of others that brought him to NLP.
Based in Leeds, Mark has studied with the ABNLP to gain Practitioner and Master Practitioner status and in July 2009 become a NLP Trainer with John Seymour. John has been training trainers within NLP for over 25 years.
Mark is passionate about the field of NLP and the changes he has witnessed within himself and others. He believes anybody can benefit from NLP and all you need is a desire to make that change.
Mark has also trained with Bruce Farrow a Master Trainer of NLP with the ABNLP
Working with Richard Pearce the lead trainer of Kochin, Mark and Richard both train on the Master Practitioner and Business Practitioner.
Social Investment Agenda
My social investment agenda includes considerable work with developing voluntary sector organisations, particularly those that support disadvantaged people to address significant personal barriers prior to accessing employment.
